SteadFolio exists because most people don't avoid investing out of laziness - they avoid it because nothing out there was built for exactly where they're starting from.
SteadFolio started from a simple, personal frustration: everywhere I looked for a place to learn investing, I found either oversimplified social media advice or dense, jargon-heavy content that assumed I already knew the basics.
There wasn't a middle ground - something that met me where I actually was, went at my pace, and never made me feel behind. So I built the one I wished existed.
Sofia, the AI coach inside SteadFolio, isn't designed to sell you anything or tell you what to buy. It's designed to do one job well: help you actually understand how investing works, structured step by step, so that whatever you decide to do next, you decide it with real understanding behind it.

What it is. SteadFolio is a guided investment education platform for beginner and long-term investors. It combines structured lessons, Sofia (an AI education coach), portfolio tools and investing simulators, so you can learn how investing works, practise without risking money, and then understand your own portfolio.
Who it's for. People starting from zero, or who have been consuming investing content without feeling any more confident. It is built around long-term investing and has particular relevance for investors in Europe who think in euros. It is available in English and Greek. It is not built for day trading, stock picks or buy/sell signals.
What it is not. SteadFolio is not an investment adviser, broker or trading platform. It doesn't give personal recommendations and doesn't tell you what to buy or sell. Sofia is an AI, not a person, and like any AI can be wrong, so check anything important against the sources we link.
SteadFolio was created and is edited by Andreas Broutas as an educational product, to help beginner and long-term investors understand investing concepts, organise their learning and use practical portfolio tools. It is currently run as an independent project based in Greece.
Andreas does not provide investment advice or recommendations through SteadFolio, and nothing here is personal advice. The guides are published under the name "The SteadFolio Team". We aim to check financial and regulatory claims against primary or authoritative sources and to link them so you can verify them yourself. A guide shows a "Last reviewed" date once it has been through that check.

Wherever you're starting from is fine. SteadFolio meets you there - it doesn't judge you for it.
Sources you can check. Factual claims in our guides link to primary sources where possible: EU legislation on EUR-Lex, regulators such as ESMA, index providers and fund issuers.
What a review date means. "Last reviewed" on a guide means we re-checked its figures and sources on that date. Guides without one haven't been through that dated review yet, so treat their numbers as general illustrations and check the source before relying on them.
Broker data from the brokers themselves. Every figure in our broker comparison and broker profiles comes from the broker's official fee or help pages, with the date we last verified it. If a broker doesn't publish a clear figure, we say "Check source" rather than guess.
No recommendations. We explain how things work and what to check. We don't tell you which investment or broker to choose.
About our own product. Our guides mention SteadFolio's tools when they're relevant to the topic. SteadFolio is free to start, and its planned paid tier is described on the pricing page.
