1. Who we are

Steadfolio is currently operated by an individual based in Greece, ahead of formal business registration. For any privacy-related questions, contact info@steadfolio.eu.

2. What information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text) when you sign up.
• Profile information: details you choose to share with Sofia to personalize your learning experience (for example, your starting knowledge level).
• Usage data: basic information about how you interact with the app, such as lessons completed, to track your progress.
• Conversation content: messages you send to Sofia, in order to generate responses and maintain conversation context.

We do not use advertising trackers or marketing pixels. We use optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity analytics on the marketing site only after you choose to accept analytics - see Section 6 (Cookies) for details.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and personalize the Steadfolio learning experience.
• To save your progress across sessions.
• To maintain the security of your account.
• To communicate with you about your account, if needed.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who processes your data on our behalf

To operate Steadfolio, we rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase - our database and authentication provider, used to securely store account, progress, and conversation data.
• AI model provider - used to generate Sofia's responses to your messages.
• Vercel - our cloud hosting provider, used to run the website and application.
• Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity) - optional analytics providers used on the marketing site, only after you accept analytics cookies, to help us understand how the site is used. See Section 6 for details.

These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service, under their own applicable data protection agreements.

5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on applicable lawful transfer mechanisms and appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, as required by law.

6. Cookies

The Steadfolio marketing website asks for your consent before using any optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), which help us understand how the site is used and improve it. These are not set until you accept them via the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We do not use advertising cookies. Your choice is stored in a single cookie shared across steadfolio.eu and app.steadfolio.eu so you aren't asked twice. The application itself may use essential, functional cookies strictly necessary to keep you securely logged in. 7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you're located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll process the request within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted storage of credentials. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

10. Children's privacy

Steadfolio is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
